Is your Telecom setup also a Collection of Decisions?
Yes, the kind of setup where
One part was decided by the vendor.
Some inputs came from internal teams.
A few tools were added based on suggestions by a friend.
I usually call this a “collection of decisions” setup.
Because in isolation, every decision makes sense.
But when all of them come together,
the system starts behaving differently.
Calls don’t flow the way teams actually work.
People find their own shortcuts.
And slowly, the setup starts getting adjusted instead of used.
Nothing stops working immediately.
But it never really settles either.
Over time, more changes are added.
And the system moves further away from how the organisation actually operates.
That’s when things start feeling complicated for no clear reason.
Most of the time, the issue isn’t the technology.
It’s the absence of one clear direction when everything was being set up.
If your telecom setup also feels like a collection of decisions,
it’s probably worth stepping back and reviewing it once

Before more adjustments start becoming permanent,
and fixing it later turns into rework instead of correction.
